Obituary for: Susan D. L. Sansevieri

Susan was born on January 12, 1953, in Sanford, the daughter of Robert and Nita Zech Lavertu, and is a graduate of Sanford High School.
After graduating High School, Susan spent a short time living on the west coast, before ultimately deciding to return home, to settle near her family and friends.
She was devoted to her husband, Tim, and spent the last 35 years living in their home in Acton.
Susan was an avid bowler for most of her life and long time president of the women’s Thursday night league. She also started the very first women’s softball league in Sanford.
She worked as a cosmetologist for 35 years and owned her own shop on Main St. in Sanford for 17 of those years, Shears Delight.
She liked to make people feel good. She was caring, generous and loved spending time outside in her garden. She had so much love for her family, her friends and her clients.
She is survived by her husband, Tim, of Acton, her daughter, Kaitlyn of Sanford, her granddaughter, Emma, two brothers, Rick Lavertu and his wife Kathy and Doug Lavertu, as well as several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Oakdale Cemetery in Sanford.
A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date to be determined.
