Obituary for Ronald Raymond Strout

Ronald Raymond Strout of Waterboro, Maine died unexpectedly at his home on September 9, 2022, from heart disease.

He was born in Biddeford, Maine on May 16, 1966 to his parents Doris and Ronnie Strout.

Growing up with four siblings at home was an adventure to say the least. Always getting into mischief and giving mom a run for it. Going to the beach in the summer was one of favorite things to do. One summer he scared mom half to death getting caught in a riptide and almost drowning. His siblings used to love to bury him from neck down in the sand.

Lots of summers were spent at camp on the lake, whether it was grandfather’s camp or Uncles Camp. Ronald loved to fish and swim like one too!

His first W2 job ever was at a Tennis Court at Fortunes Rock Beach! How nice! Now before that he had a couple paper routes and he shoveled driveways in the winter.

Living on Raymond Street and growing up, we would all go play outside and build snow Forts, digging many tunnels in the snow. In those days it was Mom and all of us Kids against the world.

Ron was also a smooth talker, so much so he could talk you into selling your own spit and making a profit on it. That talent was used, and he started his own Collection Agency while living in Florida and was quite successful at it.

Missing his family, he moved back to Maine.

He was a very social man and he loved people and life. He loved to cook, and his clam fritters were the best! He loved to brag about what a great cook he was.

When he moved back to Maine, he settled in and as he got older, he became more of a recluse because of health reasons that prevented him from getting out of the house much.

His latest hobby was buying and modifying drones. He loved to talk about that and what he was doing with them and how much fun it was. He also loved his cats.

Ron’s greatest accomplishment in life was having his two children, Christine and Ronnie.

Ronald is preceded in death by his parents Ronnie Strout and Doris Strout
He is survived by his children; Christine Strout of Sanford Maine and Ronnie Strout of West Palm Beach Florida, his sisters Celina Davis and Colleen Fox of Florida, Carey Strout of Connecticut, Kevin and Wife Melinda Strout of Maine half-brother Larry Dean Murphy of Maine and Erica Morgan of Maine, grandchildren Katie Strout, Kyra Brisebois and Cody Bowden of Maine and many nieces and nephews.

Currently, there are no formal services.
