October 15, 1992 - April 23, 2022 Service Date: A private service will be held later. Paul Franklin Powers, 29, a beautiful young man, passed unexpectedly on April 23, 2022 at his home in Lyman. Paul truly loved his Grammy and being with her. Paul was born in Everett, Washington on October 15, 1992 to Maria Powers. He was blessed to have lived with his maternal Grammy Anna when the two of them moved to western Maine in 2003 and loved going to the Rangeley Lake area for picnics. Paul loved his Grammy very much. As he got older, Paul moved to his Granite Bay Care group home in Lyman in August 2015. He loved his country home and all of his wonderful staff that supported him and was especially close to James, who he considered his best friend. He loved all the walks outside his home throughout the year and a short walk to check their mail. Going for car rides and especially going in Walmart were fun times for him. He had a vast collection of match box cars that was his top priority purchase when he went shopping. He knew if you moved any one of his cars and he would put it back in the right spot! Paul loved looking at his picture books and being read to. He would learn unfamiliar words and repeat them to you. Paul liked playing cards and holding them. Listening to music was his favorite and watching a little TV at times. He loved to eat his great meals and lots of fruits and veggies, too. Paul has the biggest smile and was such a kind young man. Paul blessed this world with his gentle ways and will be deeply missed by his family and his friends at his home. A private service will be held later.
