Obituary for Patrick M. LeBlanc

October 9, 1946 - April 29, 2022 Service Date: A Graveside Service with military honors will be Thursday, May 5th at 12:00 p.m. at So. ME Veterans Cemetery, 83 Stanley Rd., in Springvale. Patrick M. LeBlanc, 75, devoted husband and father, died peacefully in the comfort of his home and with his family by his side, on April 29, 2022. Patrick was born on October 9, 1946 in Sanford, the son of Henry A. and Alice (Richard) LeBlanc. He grew up in Sanford and was a graduate of Sanford High School in 1966. He served in the US Army from 1966 to 1968 and was stationed in Korea during his military career. Patrick worked at the Waterboro Tanning for seven years and then became the bar manager for the Springvale Social Club. He also worked four years at Corning in Kennebunk. Patrick married Kathleen Veroneau and they were blessed with twin daughters, Kelly and Shauna. They remember their dad waking up early on the weekend (so mom could sleep in) and bringing them down to Wells beach before sunrise and they would search for shells and starfish on the beach and walked on the rocks. They found this huge piece of driftwood that dad has kept since that day. Some of his hobbies included playing cards with a group of friends. The comradery and teasing that went around the table was priceless! Patrick loved to cook for his family and friends. He was kind, very social, funny, and humble. He instilled great values in his children and grandchildren. Patrick loved to read and do the puzzles in the newspaper. He and Kathleen looked forward to their trips to Florida and Las Vegas. Patrick enjoyed belonging to the Springvale Social Club, American Legion Post 19 in Springvale, and the Lafayette Club, Wolves Club, and the Elks Club, all in Sanford. Patrick was a man that loved his family, believed in giving back to his community and was available to help those in need. Everyone loved him and he will be missed. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Kathleen LeBlanc of Springvale; his twin daughters Kelly St. Jean and husband Raymond of Sanford; and Shauna McGarth and husband Michael of Sanford; his three grandchildren who called him Papa: Dylan, Riley, and Lilly; two brothers Ronald LeBlanc and wife Claudia and James LeBlanc and wife Fran, all of Sanford; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery, 83 Stanley Rd., in Springvale.
