Octavia was born in Biddeford on July 13, 2020, the daughter of Ethan Huber-Young and Samantha Higgins. Her enchanted smile and twinkling eyes could melt any of our hearts. She was learning to speak and was very animated expressing herself, and was always polite, learning to say “please” and “thank you.” Octavia loved animals, especially dogs and the show Paw Patrol. Octavia was a little helper with her Mom, Nana, and Grandma, helping with the dishes and getting the clothes out of the dryer. She loved playing outside, going camping, and toasting marshmallows. Octavia was priceless and gave the warmest hugs. She blew raspberry kisses and was learning how to give a high five when saying “hello.” Her grandfathers were Papa and she anxiously waited to visit and spend time with them. Our hearts will remain tender and open, knowing she is sheltered by the wings of the angels. Each night we shall look at the night sky knowing she is our guiding light to wholeness and peace. We love you to the moon and back our sweet Octavia. Octavia is lovingly survived by her parents, Samantha Higgins and Ethan Huber-Young, her sister Alice Marie Higgins Dellea, her maternal grandparents: Deborah Higgins, Samuel Higgins, and step-grandfather Thomas Holland; her paternal grandparents: Candace and Mark Huber-Young, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022, from 5 – 7 p.m. at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, in Kennebunk. A private family service will be held. With Octavia’s love of camping, please consider donations to Pilgrim Lodge, 103 Pilgrim Lodge Lane, West Gardiner, ME 04345 – this is a summer camp operated by the Maine Conference of United Christ Church, or to help our animals in need, please also consider the Animal Welfare Society, P.O.
