A Celebration of Life and Christian Faith Service will be Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. George's Episcopal Church, 3 Emerson St., in Sanford. James M. Wilson, 67, of Acton, Maine passed away peacefully at home on April 24, 2022 after a long illness. He was the son of Paul Wilson and Edna Hartigan Wilson of Dover, NH. He was a 1973 graduate of Dover High School. He was a long-term employee of Pratt and Whitney, retiring in 2011. Jim was a charter member of the Acton-Shapleigh Lions Club. He was a faithful member of St. George’s Episcopal Church in Sanford. Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman and spent many happy hours in the woods and on the lakes of Maine, especially at his beloved Tomhegan Camps on Moosehead Lake. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jean Driscoll Wilson. Also, by his sister Carol Wilson DelRossi, his sister Susan Wilson Fontaine and her husband Dick, his uncle Paul Hartigan, and cousin Dale Hartigan and his wife Cathy. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law Mary Driscoll, brother-in-law Dennis Driscoll and his wife Sandra, brother-in-law Kevin Driscoll and his wife Rachel and many nieces and nephews. There will be visiting hours on Friday, May 6th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Bibber Memorial at Autumn Green, 47 Oak St., in Alfred, Maine. A service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. George’s Episcopal Church, 3 Emerson St. in Sanford, ME. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New England Cancer Specialists, 2 Independence Dr., Kennebunk, ME 04043. Arrangements are entrusted to Bibber Memorial at Autumn Green.
