July 1, 1973 - February 9, 2022 Service Date: February 15, 2022 A Celebration of Denise's life will be Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Life Church, 551 Alfred Street on Rt 111 in Biddeford. A reception will be held at the church after the service. Denise C. Dube Neal, 48, crossed over to Heaven, to be embraced by the Lord and reunited with her father and other lost loved ones, on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022. Denise, a daughter of Guy and Martha Dube, was born and raised in Springvale, Maine, on July 1, 1973. Denise, who battled uterine cancer for 14 years, will be remembered for her faith, generosity, selflessness, optimism, and love for and dedication to her triplets, Zac, Ian and Saralin, and her family and friends. During her health struggles, Denise did much to raise funds and awareness for the fight against cancer. Actor Patrick Dempsey, the founder of the Dempsey Cancer Center, once kissed her on top of her head and often called her up on stage during the annual fundraiser he holds. Denise had strong and unwavering faith in God. She was extremely dedicated to the Lord and fulfilled many needs at her church, Faith Christian Center in Limerick. Among many acts of service, she recruited volunteers for the congregation’s Friday night suppers, often helping to serve them, led and sang with her worship team, and managed the church’s website. “She was irreplaceable – not because she did things but because of who she was,” said Pastor Elaine Racicot. “Everyone is going to miss her. She was a joy to be around.” Denise lived for her children – literally, as her long and hard-fought battle to survive cancer proves. She was a loyal friend, eager to spend time with you, always willing to help, quick to share her smile and her laugh, and able to share in your joys and help carry your burdens. Denise graduated from Sanford High School in 1991 and studied nursing at Westbrook College, which is now part of the University of New England. Throughout her professional life, she cared for others as a CNA, a medical technician, and a visiting nurse. She enjoyed crafting, taking cruises, hosting birthday parties and Christmas gatherings, cooking, and decorating cakes. She was even a cake-decorating instructor at Michael’s in Biddeford. She loved her mother and father and greatly enjoyed spending time with her sister and her brothers and their families. Denise is predeceased by her father, Guy N. Dube; her paternal and maternal grandparents, whom she called her memeres and peperes; her stepmother, Barbara Dube; and many aunts and uncles. She is survived by her children, Zac, Ian and Saralin, and her estranged husband, John Neal; her mother, Martha A. (Chasse) Dube; her sister, Rita Jeanne Sevigny, and her husband, Edgar; her brothers, Roger Dube, his wife, Eileen, Darin Dube, Brian Dube, his wife, Sheila, and her twin, Dennis Dube, and his wife, Darcy; and several aunt, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Denise’s life during a service at New Life Church at 551 Alfred Street on Route 111 in Biddeford, Maine, on Tuesday, February 15, at 11 a.m. Pastor Richard Racicot, of Faith Christian Center in Limerick, will officiate. A reception will be held at the church after the service. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to a GoFundMe account that has been established to assist with funeral expenses and her children’s needs. Denise’s family wishes to thank Dr. Ilyas and his team at the New England Cancer Center for their devotion to Denise’s health and well-being. The family also wishes to thank Maine Medical Center, Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, and Autumn Green Funeral Home. The Autumn Green Funeral Home is respectfully handling arrangements.
