Obituary for David M. Woodsome

David M. Woodsome, 58, of Waterboro, passed away on August 29, 2022. He was the husband of Mary Potter Woodsome. They shared 32 years together.

David was born on December 2, 1963 in Sanford, he was the son of Carroll and Lucille (Day) Woodsome of Limerick. He attended local schools and graduated from Massabesic High School, class of 1982. He was the owner/operator of D&M Well, Inc. in Limerick.

David enjoyed outdoor activities including motorcycling, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, and deer hunting. He was an antique and vintage automobile enthusiast. A fan of country music, he attended many live shows. David loved hosting friends and family at get-togethers throughout the years. He and Mary liked trying new restaurants and dining out.

He wed the love of his life, Mary, in 2000 and spent their honeymoon in Aruba. They returned to Aruba and the Caribbean many times after and enjoyed summer vacations in Boothbay Harbor and Bar Harbor. Their most recent trip included a vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC.

He will be remembered for his sense of humor, kindness, larger-than-life personality, generosity, storytelling, and his unforgettable laugh.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mary, and his two beloved dogs, Benny and Fancy. A sister Linda McCoy, niece Esther Alexander and nephew Caleb Alexander, all of Tampa, FL.

A memorial service will be held on September 17, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Bibber Memorial at Autumn Green, 47 Oak Street, in Alfred. Immediately after the service, a reception will be held at their home in Waterboro.
