Obituary for David G. Wickham

On the morning of January 30, 2023, David passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home and surrounded by his family.

David was born in Saco on September 24,1946 the son Penelope (Semo) Wickham and James G. Wickham, Sr.

He worked his whole life as an auto mechanic. In his spare time, he would be in his garage working on cars with a Budweiser in his hand. He enjoyed the casino where you would find him at the poker machines. His food choice was unquestionably some fresh Maine lobster. David was the happiest spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

David and his wife Christine met on a blind date and have been married for 26 years. They loved boating on Little Ossipee Lake and Estes Lake. Together they agreed that they met at the right time in their lives. One of David’s favorite restaurants was Longhorn’s Steak House. Many memories were made while they explored different areas of New England. David and Christine enjoyed many nights with their closest friends playing games.

David possessed a warm and caring heart. He was Christine’s “rock to lean on” and was devoted to her and his family. He was born during a time when men were raised to be respectful and taught to work hard and care for others. David will surely be missed as he was one of a kind with his spunky personality that he kept until his very last moments. Rest in peace and you will never be forgotten and forever loved.

David was predeceased by his parents Penny and James Wickham and his brother Arthur Palmer.

He is lovingly survived by his wife Christine Wickham, Children: Penny Callahan and wife Janet, Kara Jones and partner Ray, Shari Fenderson and partner Wayne, Tony Walls and partner Megan, and step children, Tammy Ogden and Jennifer Ogden. Siblings: Maria Carr husband Rich, Patty Wickham, Mary Frances Fisher, James Wickham, Ginny Stanley and brother from another mother, Mike.
